The 9th of May, 2025 is the 80th anniversary of the official end of World War II in Europe. More than 60 million lives were lost in that war. Sadly, our governments have not learned the lessons of the last century. They are preparing for war. They plan to spend billions of euro on weapons. In line with the European Peace Project, we are reading our Manifesto for Peace at the GPO in Dublin, at 4.00 p.m. on Friday, the 9th of May. At that time, all across Europe, people are gathering together to read the Manifesto for Peace – to tell their governments that they do not want war and that they do not want to waste valuable resources on war and on the stockpiling of deadly weapons. We want peace and justice across our continent – and across the world. We want to protect humanity and our beautiful planet from the scourge of war.
Join us at the GPO in O’Connell Street, Dublin, at 4.00 p.m. on Friday, the 9th of May.
